Who we are

Established in 1946, South Side Lumber & Design Center in Herrin, IL, is now in its third and fourth generation of family ownership. We provide building materials for custom residential and commercial building projects, and strive to help make your project a success.

South Side Lumber is a complete building materials provider, including trusses, roofing, siding, flooring, windows, doors, plumbing, decking, lumber, and more. We also offer kitchen & bath cabinetry, faucets, and countertops.

Our team of experts is here to serve customers from Herrin and all over Williamson County. Other counties we serve in the Southern Illinois region include Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Saline, Hamilton, Perry, and more.
