Lawn Sweepers and Landscape Rollers for Lawn Maintenance

The best lawn roller is designed to flatten and level the top 1-2” of soil, sand, or gravel. Landscape rollers, or grass rollers, consist of a polyurethane or steel drum that can be filled with water or sand to increase the weight. A roller can be a manual push model or one designed to pull behind a tractor. Using a roller for lawn issues caused by foot traffic or freeze/thaw usually produces good results. A landscape roller is ineffective in correcting leveling issues caused by moles or pests. 

A lawn sweeper is great for picking up leaves, grass clippings, or other debris. These also come in push or pull models, and some even have a dump feature to make emptying easier.
