What began as an auto supply and general hardware store has become the most complete hardware store in the Los Alamos area. Metzger's strives to provide homeowners with everyday hardware necessities as well as offer services, departments, and products normally only found at big box or specialty stores.

Third Generation Family-Owned

For three generations, the Los Alamos and White Rock Metzger’s Hardware locations have been family-owned and operated. From beginnings in the early 1940’s, our store has been the center for all of your hardware needs. Throughout the years, our services and products have changed; however, our integrity and honesty has remained constant. We are here to help you. Los Alamos has seen many changes since Metzger’s Hardware first opened in the old Commissary Building in 1947, and Metzger’s has grown along with the community.  With stores in both Los Alamos and White Rock, Metzger’s offers a broad assortment of merchandise at competitive prices and a commitment to customer service that makes shopping at Metzger’s your preferred choice!

Since the beginning, Metzger’s has worked hard to serve our community.  Over the years, Metzger’s has given back to the community by supporting projects at our schools, youth groups, and sports teams.  With our participation in Small Business Saturday over the years, Metzger’s has given back a portion of that day's sales, donating thousands of dollars to the United Way of Northern New Mexico. 

Metzger’s also believes a strong community is key to a strong business, and supports in community efforts to improve Los Alamos and White Rock through the Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet and the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation.
