In Wisconsin, two prodealers have joined forces and represent well over 200 years of experience.
Bliffert Lumber & Hardware announced that it has merged with Chase Lumber and its three locations in Sun Prairie, DeForest, and McFarland, Wisconsin.
Chase Lumber has been serving south central Wisconsin and the surrounding area since 1897 specializing in lumber, millwork, windows, cabinets, decking, kitchens and baths.
“Joining forces with Bliffert and combining nearly two-and-a-half centuries of serving the building industry in Wisconsin is a giant step forward for Chase Lumber’s customers and employees,” said Valerie Stiener, president of Chase Lumber. “We know that Bliffert is a company that shares our values, especially concerning employees, customers, and community. We believe Bliffert Lumber does that and more. A large firm that operates as a family-run business, Bliffert brings buying power and expertise that should allow Chase Lumber to operate as a premier supplier of building materials for many years to come.”
Chase Lumber has already been re-bannered as “Chase Lumber, A Bliffert Family Company.”
Bliffert Lumber and Hardware has served contractors and homeowners in southeastern Wisconsin for over 115 years. The dealer is now in its fifth generation of Bliffert family ownership and operates 13 locations. The dealer is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The dealer has remained active in the past year. Last year, in a deal that closed on Nov. 30, Bliffert acquired Fillinger Millwork; a single-location millwork manufacturer of hardwood moulding and custom millwork products.
The move followed close on the heels of Bliffert's move to acquire Milwaukee Cabinetry on Oct. 31 last year.
Bliffert Lumber & Hardware is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and operates 13 locations in the region.
“At Bliffert Lumber & Hardware, we are continually improving on the construction and home improvement experience for our customers across Wisconsin,” said Eli Bliffert, vice president of Bliffert Lumber & Hardware. “Chase Lumber Company shares our focus on excellent service and commitment to staff and community.”
Bliffert noted that by adding the Chase Lumber locations, the dealer can provide Madison area customers with an improved range of services, products, and support.
“Being able to combine two fifth-generation family-owned lumber companies is not something you get to do every day, if ever. It is the coolest thing since cold beer. We are absolutely stronger together,” Bliffert said.
In a statement issued by both organizations, they said they are excited to move forward with a shared vision, making meaningful contributions to their communities and partners.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
