Bliffert’s Portage Lumber Awarded South Central’s Best of the Best in Hardware and Lumber Category

With over 70 years of service to the Portage community, Bliffert’s Portage Lumber & Hardware has been honored with the WiscNews South Central’s Best of the Best Award in the Hardware and Lumber category.

“We're grateful to be recognized as a community hardware store and lumberyard,” said third-generation manager Kim Dorn. “Having been part of this store my entire life, I truly appreciate the support we’ve received over the years. With over 70 years in business and the backing of 125 years of Bliffert family expertise, I believe we offer something really special.”

Bliffert’s Portage Lumber, located at 1009 E Wisconsin Street, is a home improvement store, design center, and full-service lumberyard, embodying Bliffert’s “All under one roof” philosophy.

Dorn continued, “This award really reflects the dedication of our customers and our amazing team. In a world full of big box stores, I believe our local experience makes a difference. We’re all neighbors, and that connection is what keeps us going strong.”

According to WiscNews, the 2024 South Central’s Best of the Best campaign received a total of 25,473 nominations, 105,857 votes, and 3,882 participants.
