Polyurethane foam sealant. Installed to contain flame in a small area and prevent spreading to other areas of the building. Restricts passage of smoke and flame spread. Expands 2-1/2 to 3 times its dispensed size. For Type V residential buildings (i.e.: Not for industrial/commercial applications). Can be used where Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) (local building official) allows from products to be used in place of traditional fireblocking products (such as mineral wool or fiberglass). User should check with local code compliance authorities prior to use. Bright orange for easy code identification. (1) 12 oz. can will cover 560 linear ft. at a 3/8" bead. |
