Formulated for use with Minwax water-based polyurethane for floors. It's main function is to seal bare wood, preventing a tannin reaction. Applying this base coat is required on all unstained wood floors. The base coat should never be sanded. Doing so can expose bare wood and a tannin reaction may result. It is not recommended to use the base coat over stained floors. Stains seal the wood, preventing a tannin reaction, so the base coat is not necessary. Dries fast in 2 hours depending on humidity. Covers approximately 400 to 500 sq. ft. per gallon. No. 17450: 1/2 gallon
